In our kitchen, we serve breakfast, midmorning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack, all included in your fees.  We pride ourselves on the healthy, nutritious, well balanced meals served, and the fact that we have varied four  week menu cycle, detailed below.

Thulani the chef

Thulani Buthelezi has been the chef at Hugs & Kisses since June 2014.  He brought with him the experience as a chef in the restaurant and catering industry.  Thulani has been innovative in developing our menus at Hugs & Kisses so as to make the meals more interesting and varied, being both pleasing on the eye, tasty and healthy.  He brings his catering knowledge to bear to make the food at Hugs & Kisses a cut above most.

In terms of measures to mitigate the spread of Covid 19:

    • Thulani has completed a Food Handlers Course covering procedures to mitigate the spread of Covid 19. 
    • The kitchen is a very sterile environment with very strict sanitizing controls.  Only the cook is allowed to enter the kitchen.
    • Children will eat in their classroom, seated socially distant from each other.  There will be no sharing of food.
    • Each child has their own water bottle which stays at school.  These are washed daily.
